Synopsis:
Seonu, an omega, needs to make money, and not just for himself, but for his grandmother, the only person left in the world he loves and cares for. So, he decides to become a surrogate for a prominent crime family, presumably for the alpha heir of the entire syndicate. Thankfully, after a few tries, he successfully conceives and has to live in the father’s home until he gives birth. It is supposed to be simple: carry the baby, give birth, and leave with a pocket of cash.
Unfortunately, Beom, the father of the promised child, has no intention of letting Seonu off so easily. On the contrary, from the moment Beom sees Seonu, Beom fully intends to make Seonu his in every way possible. Sure, they might be doing everything out of order, and their current relationship is entirely contractual, but that’s hardly an obstacle for a man like Beom.
Review:
I have read a few things with Huung as an artist, including some I haven’t gotten the chance to even review yet, but trust me when I say this is by far their best-looking one to date. It isn’t perfect by any means, and Seonu does look like a recoloring of some of their other characters, but that isn’t all that uncommon for artists, so I’m not going to bemoan that. However, something I would be remiss to mention is the pubes. Yes, for once, there are pubes present on our hyper-masculine top. I would love to see that… if they didn’t look like a bushel of wires. They are the fakest and ugliest-looking pubes on the planet, which is unfortunate to see in a series that is so much better than their prior titles. It is a wire toupee on Beom’s crotch, and it is horrendous. Keep that in mind if you give this one a shot.

And if that isn’t bad enough, I despise dirty talk. Minimal is fine, but I have a low cringe tolerance for even the mildest dirty talk. Well, unfortunately, this is probably 99% dirty talk. Granted, we’re supposed to find it endearing, as Beom is meant to be this pervy romantic, but I am definitely not the intended audience on that front because nothing made me dislike Beom more than his incessant sexual innuendos and overt obscenities. I totally understand why it exists, but that doesn’t make me like it more.
I also find the sex to be extremely awkward, primarily because of how stiff the art style is. Like I said before, this is probably the nicest-looking Huung title by far, but there are still moments where it looks wonky. For example, there is one moment where Beom suddenly decides to have sex with Seonu on the kitchen counter. There is no lead-up or even a decent transition. So, it ends up looking like someone awkwardly placing their dolls in a compromising situation. That doesn’t mean every sex scene is bad or that there aren’t good ones, because there are, but it is rough, which might be unfortunate for my fellow degenerates out there.
Now, while this is super corny, cringy, and sometimes ugly, it has an overall charm. It is 100% mindless. The story is nonsense with little to no substance, the main characters fall in love instantly, and there is more smut than you’ll know what to do with. There is also visual mpreg, which is rarer than I like to admit in omegaverse titles, and we even get to see children and, even better, child-rearing. I wouldn’t call this amazing by any means, but some elements make this a worthwhile read. Just don’t expect anything of depth, and it’s not so bad. It certainly has its place in a reading rotation.

This is pretty low on my list. Have I read worse? Beyond. But is this worthwhile? It is hard for me to say so. Beom is super cringy on so many levels, and while I am a degenerate and the smut in this is beyond plentiful, it is ugly and awkward in many, many ways. There’s a part of me that wants to love it for the mpreg and child-rearing aspects, but the story and art make it really hard to even enjoy it mildly. I do think something is endearing about this one, but it has a very specific audience that I just don’t think is entirely me. I’m going to give this a soft miss.
